Orly Avineri's One Artist Journal – Inscribed book Giveaway!

I have been very fortunate to have my very dear friend Orly Avineri support, challenge and encourage me and my art 110%. In support of Orly’s new book One Artist Journal I would like to have a giveaway. One lucky person will receive a copy of One Artist Journal inscribed by Orly Avineri. I have had my copy on my bedside table since I received it and every evening after my regular reading I open the book and go through a different section of the book before turning in. I find that the book has challenged and inspired me to dig deeper in my own journal entries and they have become richer for it.

I am happy to help support my wonderful friend Orly Avineri to support her in the release of her amazing, beautiful new book One Artist Journal. Orly has turned her amazing blog http://oneartistjournal.com/ into a book. Imagine if you will holding her blog in your hands, you can actually see the amazing detail and depth of the images and read her insightful blog postings. Each word seems to be carefully chosen.

I was happy to be one of the first to receive her book, and to be able to hold it in my hands and carefully read each page. In my opinion Orly’s revolutionary book is going to change how art journaling is presented and viewed. This is an amazing art book. It is very intimate as if you are looking in Orly’s personal art journal. These pages are sooo lush. So dense with imagery and powerful words, intimate words. Viewing her blog it is easy miss the amazing details and depth of her artwork, here you can enjoy each and every spread and post.  I found the book to be very moving. It is going to create a shift in thought about art journaling. Folks are going to want to see more artist’s blogs and works turned into books.

A crafter of collage cards since my late teens, I’ve been drawn to Orly’s work for its graphic beauty and emotional resonance. I keep thinking that art journaling and her workshops will take me to what’s next in my own craft, but job and finance changes have made this less of a priority. I’m still curious, still inspired, happy for the birth of her book in the world. Hoping the lottery gods favor me! Thank you.

I am proud to say that in two days I will meet Orly for the first time, and take her workshop here on the east coast ! This is a long story and I will not take the space to tell it. But I will say that I am really looking forward to the ride with her, and also to join this family of art journalists and bloggers, that i’ve been quietly following for the past few months(or more..) Brian! I am so loving your blog! Do you know how it feels when you see something so colorful and striking, that you want to save it so you can look back at it, but more thoroughly. It’s like the sweet dessert you save for last!
